Born and raised in a vibrant Latino neighborhood, she understands the unique cultural needs and values of her community. She is committed to providing a nurturing, bilingual learning environment that respects each family's heritage. Driven by her belief that every child deserves a strong educational foundation, Mercedes founded "Xiomara's Group Family Daycare" in her welcoming home located Wakefield, Bronx, NY.
Her curriculum focuses on bilingual education, fostering both English and Spanish language skills in young children to prepare them for a multicultural world. Mercedes’s daycare is a place where children learn through play, creative expression, and hands-on activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Mercedes is known for her warm, caring personality and ability to connect with children and parents alike, making "Xiomara's Group Family Daycare" a cherished part of the community. She is deeply committed to empowering the next generation of learners, providing them with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Staff are certified as early childhood educators with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and full licensure to operate a daycare. With years of experience working with young children,

A QUALITYstarsNY participant since January 2024, Mercedes Mulholland is a passionate and dedicated early childhood educator from the Bronx, NY. With over a decade of experience in childcare and licensed by the New York Health Department.
Despite the pandemic, she remained dedicated to caring for the children in her community as COVID-19 spread across the country. Her commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment never wavered, and she continues to serve families with the same passion and dedication.
Recently, she achieved NAFCC accreditation and became a proud participant in QUALITYstarsNY, further demonstrating her commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
Program
Overview
We offer programs for infants of six weeks through twelve years of age, with flexible schedules. Our program is designed to fit the needs of its age group, helping children learn and grow in every way—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. We meet each child where they are, providing support when needed and new challenges as they’re ready, so they can build confidence and thrive.
We provide nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day to support the growth and energy needs of our toddlers and children. Proper nutrition is essential for learning, development, and overall well-being. Our meals are balanced, child-friendly, and carefully planned to ensure every child gets the nourishment they need to stay active, focused, and happy throughout the day.
We provide a safe, loving, and home-like environment where children can learn, play, and grow. With a strong focus on safety, personalized care, and early education, we ensure every child feels secure, supported, and encouraged to explore. Parents can trust that their little ones are in caring hands every step of the way.
